SAT

The SAT is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States and few other countries. The SAT is owned and developed by the College Board and administered by the Educational Testing Service. (ETS).
The SAT was initially called the Scholastic Aptitude Test and was latterly, changed to Scholastic Assessment Test. But currently, the SAT is an empty acronym meaning that it does not stand for anything, we just call it SAT.
Many students take the SAT test so as to apply for admissions into the best universities and colleges in the United State. Many universities like the Harvard, MIT, UCLA, Princeton, Stanford and the likes all require students to take the SAT test before they can gain admission.
Many students also get scholarships to study in the various universities depending on their SAT scores. Students with higher SAT scores easily get full scholarship to study in their dream universities. This means that such students do not buy even a penny. They study for free and this is one advantage of taking the SAT
Many students always say the SAT is difficult whiles others are saying that the test is for the smartest. The truth is that you need to prepare very well before you take the test. The SAT is an all-die-be-die test and it means that you have to employ all that you can employ to get a good SAT scores. A good SAT score can help you to get admission to your dream university and also will help you to get a full scholarship.
There are two types of the SAT test. We have the SAT I and the SAT Subject Test which is commonly known as the SAT II.
The SAT I takes three hours and forty –five minutes to complete and possible scores range from 600-2400, that is the combination of three subjects, Mathematics, Critical Reading and Writing.
The SAT I is made up of Mathematics, Critical Reading and Writing. Each has a maximum score of 800, so your overall SAT scores will be a maximum of 2400, thus the combination of the major subjects.
The registration fee for the SAT I is $50 and $81 for international students.
SAT II
The SAT Subject Test or the SAT II is not mandatory but students take the SAT II to demonstrate to college their  mastery of specific subjects such as English, Foreign Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc.
The SAT II program offers 20 subjects and students can take one, two or three test on a single test date. The SAT II takes one hour to complete and the cost depends on the number of subjects you will take. Most universities require students to take the SAT II.
